September 15th to 17th, Techbikers Nordics brought about 60 investors, technologists and founders together to cycle 420 km for a one-of-a-kind event from Copenhagen to Berlin.
This was a charity bike ride to promote increased collaboration between Nordic startups and to connect the tech ecosystems of the Nordics and Berlin. The techbiker idea started in London as a collaboration within the tech community to promote child literacy.
The ride covered three main objectives:
- Increase co-operation among Nordic investors
- Link the tech ecosystems of Berlin and the Nordics closer together
- Increase Nordic attractiveness to German investors.
From being complete strangers, the group became close friends, and the trip has led to increased cooperation on the investment side and also increased the awareness of the Nordic Tech scene in Berlin. On top of it all, they managed to raise €75 000 for charity. New rides being planned for 2018.
